What What

Wed Apr 9, 2008, 3:40 AM
Woah, power just attempted to go out and slowly faded back on.

Anyway, so for those of you who haven't already heard, I finally managed to find myself a job. *yayjoblyness* It's only a temp job, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to use whatever time they're keeping me to find any internally posted regular part or full time jobs they have to offer and hopefully sneak my way into something more permanent.
Anyway, I start Saturday.
And Monday they're going to remove my wisdom teeth. *ohnotjoy*
They're going to completely sedate me. I've never been put under before, so it's kinda creeping me out. The orthodontist said I'll probably wake up at in bed with no recollection of how I even got home. O_o

I've decided my anatomy sucks. D: I have such a hard time visualizing and then drawing poses without reference. Which on one hand I think is fine, because I usually work from photographs (self produced or stock/posefiles) however I don't really like being dependent on such things. Practice, practice, practice I guess. For some reason I find one of my weakest points is how the arms connect to the torso. I always make the shoulders seem too gawky or wide. And um...yeah. Yeah.
Ok...I don't know.

Why do I bring this up? Because I have 20 something unfinished pages of issue one of Alter Ego sitting on my shelf right now and I'm stuck. @_@. I know what you're thinking, if I have 20 pages drawn out, why don't I just ink and finish them in the meantime? Because the further I get the more I go back and change things. So I don't want to start setting anything in stone till I've gotten the whole chapter done (about 10-15 more pages) and can go back over it and make sure it's all how I want it before I commit time to inking it. Can't do it, just can't do it. Not yet.
I hope once I finally do finish issue one, issue two will go much smoother. o_= *stabs eyeball out*

Why did I ever decide drawing a manga was a good idea. Lol.

I  short story manga. Those have been my favorites lately. Especially if they're well done. Been poking through the base library's tiny selection of manga. I was early for my interview with HR the other day so I sat in the library and read Dark Water...I don't think I'd put that on the well done short stories list =_=. I think the majority of them just went right over my head. Not that great.

Hey I have a job. I can buy manga again. And and and books! BOOKS!
In moderation of course. *nods*

Hey don't worry about it.. I was totally sedated for my teeth being removed. Once they inject you or put the gas thing on your face.. it takes seconds for you to be asleep. I was scared too but I didn't have much time to worry because I was asleep in seconds lol.

Only thing is - watch out when you wake up because when you wake up your body will be a little limp.. When I woke up I tried to stand and fell right over... they didn't warn me.

lol *flop* I'll keep that in mind.
I think they're doing it via an IV because they're charging me $500 for "IVed". *cringe*

Geeezzz... :| That's alot... well I don't know if that is the same.. does it all use the same drug?

Either way I got to ride around in a wheelchair for 5 minutes while my body got less floppy :P That was fun :D lol

I have no clue. All I know is about a third of the bill is just for the drugs =_=.

Well I'm sure you can deal with the pain? It will save $500! :P My brother had his without being sedated. :p He said it was teh worst pain he ever felt. But I still think not paying $500 is better.

XD Ouch.

I wish. This guy says he won't do it unless I'm sedated. I wanted local anesthetic. But he does things a certain way, and he's been the most agreeable dentist I've dealt with yet. Maybe it's because I have a lot of other problems that he doesn't want to complicate things. I have TMJ, and he also said my teeth have very long very thin roots and it looks like the bottom ones might be caught up in the nerves in my lower jaw. Lots of fun potential complications @_@.
I'll just be happy when it's over.

*bearhugs* don't worry its nothing to really be worried about

i've had what... probably 18 teeth pulled, had 3 rows of teeth on the roof of my mouth when a kid. all 4 wisdom teeth were bone impacted before even the roots formed and ruined my several years of brace work. they put me under by IV for that. they do in special cases and i didn't feel a thing

and have someone you trust in the lobby ready to take you home you won't remember a thing. me and my mom would have to get fully sedated for our teeth and soon as we'd get home we'd pass out from, and we would be in a rather "open" state, talking about inner most thoughts and everything.

so other then embarrassing yourself, why i said have someone you trust, its a rather safe way. and since you haven't been sedated before its just like going to sleep after eating alot of food. you'll also probably lose feeling before you black out and feel like your floating and kind of an out of body experience but still in your body :3
I...sort of remember getting home...I had to have all four pulled and mostly my memory is counting back to about seven or something and then waking up on the operating table to find out that four hours had passed and find my head totally numb. I kept poking at my cheeks to make sure they were still there or something...I payed to that later...I was high on vicodin for like...a week or something after.
